Sekumpul Waterfall

Sekumpul Waterfall is one of Bali’s most scenic natural attractions. The waterfall is actually a cluster of six to seven narrow cascades that form the centrepiece of a lush green bamboo forested valley. You can reach the falls on a nature trek through the namesake village of Sekumpul, which is located in upland region of the Buleleng regency in North Bali. The village is within an hour’s drive southeast from Lovina Beach. The falls are fed by two upland streams, and is the most accessible of the collection of falls in the area. Even so, getting down here requires a good deal of effort, with paths comprising dirt tracks, a hundred or so steps and crossings over streams. There are two ways you can enjoy the falls. A trek leads you to purpose-built gazebos where you can cool down and catch your breath while enjoying the view of the 80m-tall majestic fall from a distance.

Lovina Beach

Lovina Beach is located about 10 km away from Singaraja and you can easily drive up to the beach to spend a fun day out. If you do want to see the dolphins at sunrise, however, you will have to leave around 3:00 am to get here. You can also choose to stay a night in Lovina and wake up to witness this beautiful event. Tourists start gathering on the beach at 5:30 am to get into little fishing boats that take them a kilometer or two away from the shore where the magic happens. Traveling with the local fishermen is very secure and a safe way to experience this event because the fishermen know exactly where to take you for the best views. Make sure you ask for a life jacket though, just in case. After an exciting session of Dolphin watching, top it up with a sumptuous meal at one of the restaurants and bars along the beach.

Banjar hotspring

Banjar Hot Spring locally referred to as ‘Air Panas Banjar’, are located approximately 5km southwest from the famous Lovina coast in North Bali. The hot water springs share the same district as the Brahmavihara Arama Buddhist monastery which is located only 1.5km to the east. The sacred hot springs ‘Air Panas’ of Banjar are set in the midst of the jungle in a beautifully landscaped tropical garden and it consist of three public and one private pool.The sulphuric water is of volcanic origin and has an agreeable warm temperature of 37 degrees Celcius, ideal for people suffering from rheumatic diseases. The centuries-old hot springs have been upgraded with modern facilities over time, and have become a favourite retreat and recreational site among locals and international visitors.

Brahma wihara arama

The monastery, only vaguely Buddhist in appearance, with colorful decorations, a bright orange roof and statues of Buddha, has very Balinese decorative carvings and door guardians. The handsome structure is located in a demanding location with views down the valley and across the rice fields to the sea. Tall pine trees, trimmed lawns, well-maintained flower gardens and its high altitude all add up to the sense of peace you can enjoy here.  Its name, given by the monastery’s late founding father, Bhante Giri, consists of three words: Brahma, Vihara and Arama, which when combined, mean ‘a place for self-cultivation’.

One of the main attractions of the monastery is the impressive mini replica of Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist archaeological site.

Wana giri hidden hill.

Just a short drive up from Bedugul, we’ve pin pointed Wanigiri Hidden Hills on google maps below.  We travelled up from Canggu on our scooters which took roughly 2 hours. A short ride up from Handara Golf & Resort (The Bali Gates), there’ll be a sharp left which leads to around six different Wanagiri Hidden Hills stops. Built in the garden of an Air BnB host, the view and swing made for the perfect Instagram photo location! But now, since the owner has started charging $35 USD to check it out,
The locals in Wanagiri took to their own resources to create exactly what tourists we’re looking for to capture that fairytale image at a fraction of the Ubud price. Similar to the Handara Golf Resort, Wangiri Hidden Hills have since become somewhat of a tourist attractions for people to capture their iconic Bali photos. Swings are popping up in every main tourist attraction in Bali, including Tegenungan Waterfall, although the most popular of them all seem to be those in Wanagiri Hidden Hills.
